Pupil Premium

By law all schools are required to make a statement regarding Pupil Premium Pupils (Disadvantaged Pupils) to include: the amount of Pupil Premium funding the school will receive in the current academic year; details of how it is intended that the allocation will be spent; details of how the previous academic year’s allocation was spent; the effect of this expenditure on the educational attainment of the disadvantaged pupils who attract it.

In the 2023 to 2024 financial year, schools received the following funding for each child registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years: £1,455 for each pupil in Reception to Year 6

Schools also received £2,530 for each pupil who is in local authority care or has left local-authority care because of one of the following reasons:

  •  adoption
  • a special guardianship order
  • a child arrangements order
  • a residence order

If a pupil has been registered as eligible for free school meals and is in/has also left local-authority care for any of the reasons above, they attract the £2,530 rate.
