The sun is finally shining and the trees are full of leaves and blossom!  Hopefully, this will be the weather moving forward as the children complete their final Outdoor Learning sessions for this year.  The sun may be shining brighter, but please ensure the children are still prepared for a range of weathers. You can always count on the British Summer to provide plenty of rain!

The children will still need two pairs of shoes for their session, the grass can still be very wet when we go outside in the morning. They may not need as thick a coat as before, but waterproofs are still recommended. Sun hats and sun cream will also be required as the term goes on. Sunglasses are not appropriate as they often fall of the children’s faces and can be broken; they don’t allow the children to see properly when we are using tools.

The dates for the Summer sessions are:

Reception Tuesday 7th May

Year 6 Monday 20th May

Year 1 Tuesday 4th June

Year 2 Tuesday 11th June

Year 3 Tuesday 18th June

Year 4 Tuesday 25th June

Year 5 Tuesday 2nd July

Year 6 Monday 8th July

Please keep these dates safe or refer to the school website for these details. If you have any questions, please contact me at  outdoorlearning@albanyvillageprimary.org.uk

If the date of your child’s session does change, we will contact you by email through the class system. Please ensure the email address we have is up to date and is checked regularly to avoid any missed changes.  Thank you for your support across the year with our new lessons. I know the children have enjoyed them and have gained many new skills.

Yours sincerely
