A L B A N Y

It has been a rather chilly continuation of Outdoor Learning! The children have been learning to do a variety of knots which they can apply to

shelter building and beyond. Shelters of different shapes and sizes have been erected amongst the branches of our outdoor area. The

sense of accomplishment from the children was clear for all to see and hear as they cheered their shelters going up!

The new focus for the planned sessions after the February half term break will be tools. The children will be working closely alongside me to

ensure they use the use the tools correctly, effectively and safely.

We will continue to go out in the rain and it may still be cold, so please continue to send the children in their warmest and most waterproof

clothes and coats.  As before, the children should come into school wearing these clothes but they must bring their school uniform and a

change of footwear with them to change into after the outdoor session.  All children must have a change of shoes, even if they are wearing

wellies, so that we keep mud around school to a minimum.  We do have some spare coats and wellies in school, but these are mostly

in smaller sizes.  The dates for the upcoming sessions are:
